Problem of a formal description of a notion electronic education course (e-course) is one of pretty important partial tasks within an implementation of eLearning education, especially in a case if the formalism should be a tool of communication in large group of persons, or a guidance of activities during implementation. For example during development of eLearning author tools (LCMS), which are dependent on a strict demarking conception e-course.At limitation of the notion e-course and its follow-up formalization a set of relevant pieces of knowing must be considered. These ones are able to keep the whole process in limits. The set consists of...

In this context, if it is to serve the citizens of Europe well, the agricultural policy requires two kinds of corrective actions of policymakers - the identification of the public objectives that are to be achieved and a suitable choice of policy instruments to be implemented....

Kernel smoothers belong to the most popular nonparametric functional estimates. They provide a simple way of finding structure in data. The idea of the kernel smoothing can be applied to a simple fixed design regression model. This article is focused on kernel smoothing for fixed design regresion model with three types of estimators, the Gasser-Müller estimator, the Nadaraya-Watson estimator and the local linear estimator. At the end of this article figures for ilustration of desribed estimators on simulated and real data sets are shown.

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2006, 54(3), 131-136 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun200654030131
Simulation and optimization is one of the most popular approaches to improve the use of simulation models as a tool to obtain the best system configuration. Petri nets have proved to be useful for examining the performance of different system configurations and/or alternative operating procedures for various systems. Based on their precise semantics and easy-to-understand graphical representation, Petri nets are appropriate to model logistic systems together with their quantitative and qualitative properties. In this paper, potential benefits of usage of object-oriented Petri nets for optimization of logistical systems are discussed.
