A New Viewpoint on Genetic Diversity in Prestice Black-Pied Pig: Did the Breed Suffer from a Bottleneck?

The research was aimed at determination of genetic variability of Prestice Black-Pied (PC) pig breed (Czech national breed and genetic resource) and to evaluate possible presence of recent bottleneck in this closed small pig population. One hundred and eighty of breeding boars were analysed by eleven tetramer Short Tandem Repeats (STR) panel specifically developed for the genotyping of breeding livestock. Despite the fact that appearance of rare alleles, which may be relatively increased after recent bottleneck, was discovered, the heterozygosity excess was not significant. Seasonal Dynamics and Winter Occurrence of Non-native Species - Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata) in the Czech Republic

The study aims to evaluate changes in occurrence of the Mandarin Duck, Aix galericulata (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Czech Republic in 2008-2019 with focus on winter months (December, January and February) 2007/08-2018/19. Seasonal dynamics of occurrence was evaluated for years 2008-2019 by comparison of 3831 observations. The highest number of observations comes from winter period (36.7%), if we exclude data from South Moravian Region (with whole year occurrence), it is 48%. Traits of Carcass Value in Duroc Pig Breed Depending on Sex

In pure pig breeds used for creation of final carcass hybrids in the Czech Republic a content of intramuscular fat (responsible for marbling) decreased during the process of selection on high meatiness. Duroc breed is mentioned as less affected by this process. The study evaluated 28 animals of Duroc breed, 14 hogs and 14 gilts and chosen traits were compared between sexes. Animals were slaughtered in average weight 102.1 kg with an average lean meat percentage 57.73 (hogs reached 57.61, gilts 57.84%). The aim of the study was to estimate changes in the floristic composition near Švýcárna lodge (1304 m a.s.l.), where cattle grazing after a long-term management cessation was introduced on a pasture area of 3.6 ha in 2012. The goal of this thesis was to establish the impact of the pH1 value and the length of carcass on the quality of slaughtered pigs of the hybrid combination (CLW × CL) × D. Goodwill and Its Effect on Share Price of Manufacturing and Nonmanufacturing Companies

This research examines how goodwill is relevant to share price on a sample of European companies with goodwill. The dataset includes 7,253 European companies broken down by sector according to the NACE classification in the period 2009-2017. Linear regression analysis was used to identify the effect of goodwill on share price. It was found out that goodwill has a positive effect on share price in manufacturing companies. These results suggest that the information contained in goodwill should be more identified to provide users of reporting with more information.

Our paper analyses the technical efficiency and the change in the efficiency of the healthcare systems in 23 European Union (EU) countries between 2008 and 2016 based on the data published by OECD. We apply Dynamic Network Data Envelopment Analysis (DNDEA) to assess the efficiency of the medical care system and public health system, together with overall healthcare system efficiency.
