The study reflects the results of the evaluation analysis of the productive qualities of sheep of the Askanian fine-wool breed using modern methods. One of the main points in the selection and breeding business is the selection of animals with the best indicators of valuable economically useful traits. In modern practice, the selection of animals is carried out according to a complex of valuable traits and qualities, since the selection of animals for only one trait is not of particular value to the breeder. Using a number of modern techniques, which is one of the most relevant in this case. Calculations of the entropy-information analysis of live...

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2024, 72(3-4), 73-83 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun.2024.006
This study aimed to examine the effect of different sowing dates (5 March and 26 March) in early spring and plant densities (40, 60, 80, 100 seeds/m2) on plant growth and development under rainfed conditions in semiarid areas over six harvest times on pea. The research was carried out during March-June 2022 in the Dicle University, Faculty of Agriculture, in Diyarbakir, Turkey. Plants were harvested after emergences in every 10 days, and plant height, number of nodes, leaves, stipules and leaflets per plant and leaf area were measured. Absolute growth rate (agr), leaf area ratio (lar), leaf area index (lai), leaf area duration (lad), specific...

The resistance status of Eleusine indica to the isopropylamine glyphosate herbicide leads to control losses in oil palm plantations. Appropriate management is needed to reduce the presence of glyphosate-resistant E. indica. This study aimed to obtain the recommended sequence or pattern of pre- and post-emergence herbicides in controlling glyphosate-resistant E. indica biotypes. This study was conducted in Telaga Sari Village, Sunggal Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District, North Sumatra, Indonesia from January to August 2019. The seeds were used from a confirmed highly glyphosate-resistant biotype of E. indica at 1,080 g ai ha-1....

Studies on the flora of the protected areas of the Prérif and particularly the mainland Site of Biological and Ecological Interest (SBEI) Brikcha are very limited. It is with this in mind that we carried out this study in order to identify the vascular flora and highlight the potential of this region. Using a combination of two methods, stratified probability sampling and the itinerant inventory, we carried out 50 days of field surveys between March 2023 and May 2024. The results obtained have allowed us to establish an exhaustive catalogue of 326 species, the emblematic species of which is Quercus faginea. In addition, six species have been reported...
