The aim of the work was modification of superoxide dismutase enzyme (SOD, EC 1.15.1.1) activity analysis in barley grain and identical malts with using of the Ransod set. This set from company Randox were used for enzyme determination in blood samples. This method employs xanthine and xanthine oxidase to generate superoxide radicals, which react with tetrazolium chloride to form a red formazan dye. SOD is classified as natural antioxidants and enzyme plays a significant role at detoxication of products of molecular oxygen degradation. The largest rate of SOD occurs in embryo of barley grain. The dependence farrowing interval on litter parity, average daily gains, percentage of lean meat and backfat thickness was analysed in a set of 8 285 and 2 850 sows of Czech Large White and Czech Landrace breeds, respectively. The parameters under study were recorded in the Pig Breeders Association in Bohemia and Moravia. The highest farrowing interval (174.39 days) was found out in sows classified into the group with the lowest average daily gains (< 470 g). Modal analysis of the whole guitar construction was performed. The results of eigenfrequencies were obtained. Stress in strings affects not only static loading of material, but also shift of eigenfrequencies. From obtained natural frequencies for solved spectrum such frequencies were used which coincides with assumed ribs new positions of ribs were suggested. The aim of this work was to analyse the influence of certain characteristics (aptitude, age, carcass weight, net daily gain, feeding) on the final carcass classification in the SEUROP system. 703 Czech Fleckvieh bulls and 642 Holstein bulls were studied. The animals were slaughtered and evaluated at a designated beef processing company. Combine aptitude carcasses shown significant differences between characteristics. The aim of this work is description of geometry of fracture surfaces of wood composite materials (cement-bonded particleboard, gypsum-bonded fibreboard and wood particleboard) using fractal analysis and exploration relation between fractal dimension and impact work. Fractal dimension determinated by filtration, volumetric and robust Box-Counting methods and Richardson method is different considering type of material and method. Proportional relationship between fractal dimension (computed by robust BC method) and impact work of mentioned materials was found in other cases non-proportional relationships were founded.

Eight genotypes of caraway were tested in vegetative periods 1999/2000 and 2000/2001. The weight of achenes on plant, the weight of achenes on individual branches, the number of achenes on plant and on individual branches, the weight of thousand achenes on plant and on individual branches and the height of plants were evaluated. The data from vegetative periods and from perenial experiments were tested statistically. The results were used for choose of genotype of caraway as a basic for new variety of non-shattering type.

Our work deals with a possibility of determination of basic composition (dry matter, fat, protein, casein, lactose and urea nitrogen) of ewe's milk and colostrum by FT NIR spectroscopy. Samples of milk were warmed to 40 °C, agitated, cooled to 20 °C, transferred into Petri dishes and analysed by reference methods and by FT NIR in reflectance mode. The measured area was spaced by a metallic mirror. Statistically significant differences between the reference values and the calculated values of NIR were not found (p=0.05). The aim of these balance experiments was to analyse the level of feeding pea varieties GOTIK and ZEKON on the digestibility of protein in growing pigs. Variety ZEKON has low content of antinutritional factors in comparison with variety GOTIK. The Czech cadastre is noticeable because of the fact that after the year 1950, after collectivization - merging individual pieces of land into Standard Farming Cooperatives - there were not owners' plots borders introduced into land maps but borders of plot users, it means members of those Standard Farming Cooperatives.
