The aim of the study was evaluated the effect of chosen factors (sex, litter size, year of the study) on the growth of lambs crossbreeds with using Suffolk (Sf) in the sire position. In the mother position there were used following genotypes: Charollais (Ch), Sf 50 Ch, Improved Wallachian (IW) and IW 50 Sf. The evaluation was carried out during two successive years (2004-2005) on the farm Růžďka and involved altogether 141 lambs. Using live trapping devices we performed surveillance of small vertebrates in the game bird farm in Jinačovice in 2005 to 2006. The study was aimed at determining the species composition and numbers within individual technologies of rearing as well as finding possible reservoirs or sources of infectious agents. Artickle deals with the evaluation of growth dynamics of selected set of clones Lonicera kamtschatica in the conditions of Nitra. We measured the growth of the shrubs twice a year (in spring and autumn) during 2003-2005. Within all clones 5 shrubs were evaluated. On the basis of the obtained results we can claim the highest increase of height in case of LKL 21 followed by clones LKL 16 and LKL 5. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the changes of the microbiological quality of milk during storage. Fresh pasteurized milk was used for the laboratory experimentations. Cooling chain of the samples was broken for 8 and for 12 hours at different temperatures (22-30 °C). In these samples, total count of psychrotrophic microorganisms was assessed.Technological indiscipline, i. e. higher storage temperature (24 °C and more), was associated with higher increase of total count of microorganisms and psychrotrophic microorganisms. The qualitative composition of aquatic invertebrates and zooplankton abundance of the Mikulovské rybníky ponds is presented in the study. Size and species composition of zooplankton in studied ponds was influenced by high fish stocks in 1992-1994. In many cases, small taxa (Rotatoria, copepod Acanthocyclops robustus and cladoceran Bosmina longirostris) formed the zooplankton assemblage. Large zooplankton species (e.g. Daphnia magna) dominated only occasionaly and exclusively in ponds with low fish stock.

Qualitative and quantitative composition of macrozoobenthos was studied on the lednické rybníky ponds. Altogether 299 taxa of benthic macroinvertebrates were determined. The values of macrozoobenthos density and biomass ranged between 5-13 021 ind.m-2 and 0.02-79.6 g.m-2 respectively.

Rust on Levisticum officinale was found on the foothill of "Velká Baba" Hill north-west of Brno-Řečkovice on May 2006. It was identifity as Puccinia bornmuelleri Magnus. On the leaves there were a lot of uredinia and one group of spermogonia. The telia was found in September 2006. Probably, the rust occurs on more locations in Brno. The rust was found in Rumania a few years ago. These are the first two findings in Europe. The rust comes from Iran and Afghanistan. Spermogonia have been found together with uredia therefore P. bornmuelleri is brachypuccinia.

The study presents the results of research on the use of barley caryopses hardness for prediction of the malting quality. Grain hardness was determined by three methods: Particle size index (PSI), hardness according to Brabender (BRA) and grain milling energy (GME). Methods for determination of free water content in poultry meat are described in Commission Regulation EEC No 1538/91 as amended and in ČSN 57 3100. Two of them (method A and D) have been validated in conditions of a Czech poultry processing plant. Cumulative effects of agricultural crops exposition, forests and other ecosystems for ozone concentration above the threshold is characterized by exposition index AOT. According to experst for EHK, the recent level is 40 ppb. Very dry summer in 2006 and 2003 created good conditions for photochemical reaction as well as ozone transport in Central Europe.
