The contents of protein (P), fat (F), a F:P ratio, and content of individual fatty acids (FA) and groups of FA, including ratio of SFA:UFA (saturated FA-to-unsaturated FA) and MUFA:PUFA (ratio monounsaturated FA-to-polyunsaturated FA) in milk during the first 17 weeks of lactation with respect to the development of NEB demonstrated by the change in cows' body condition. The aim of this study was to monitor levels of minerals in mare's colostrum in the first 3 days after foaling. Colostrum samples from four warm-blood mares (in three repetitions) were analysed 2, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 hours postpartum. The samples were obtained by hand milking. Calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), magnesium (Mg), sodium (Na), potassium (K), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) contents were analysed in each sample. In this study, we present faunistic data about spiders in selected sinkholes of northern part of Moravský kras Protected Landscape Area. In a one-year vegetation pot experiment, we compared the effect of digestate from a biogas station and mineral fertilisers on yield and quality parameters of kohlrabi, variety Segura F1. The biology of Byctiscus populi (L.) was studied on Populus tremula L. in Forest District Bílovice nad Svitavou (former district of Brno-venkov) in the period 2007 to 2009. In 2007 to 2009, the biology of Byctiscus populi (L.) was studied on Populus tremula in Forest District Bílovice nad Svitavou (former district of Brno-venkov). Females of B. populi often stick ends of shoots in addition to petioles in May and in the first half of June. At 38% damaged shoots, they make rolls of more (at the most 4) leaves. The aim of the work was to analyze the changes in the epidemiology of salmonellosis and campylobacteriosis diseases in Slovakia over the past 10 years and evaluate them in the context of epidemiological changes comparing to the EU. Salmonellosis (A020) and campylobacteriosis (A045) belong to the diseases with the highest morbidity in Slovakia.
