The article is focused on an analysis of educational attainment of an individual and income situation of their household. At the beginning, a compendious summary of secondary sources is introduced. It resumes data supporting and contradicting the hypothesis about education as a determinant of an income situation. The preliminary theses analysis is performed by results quantification of a project called European Union - Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC). Aim of the paper is to verify the input thesis assumed from secondary resources. The thesis concerns the direct proportion between a level of education achieved and level of financial income. An introduction of a methodology and research summarized data forms a basis for particular analyses which are based on a conjunction of obtained information on household average monthly income and the educational attainment of their leading member. Analyses are sustained by contingency which characterizes social groups, i.e. spheres in which leading members are mostly involved with regard to income.
Research results proved the validity of the preliminary thesis about correlation, respectively direct proportionality of educational attainment and monthly income amount. Education is consequently identified as one of income situation determinants. The authors anticipate specificity of the selected point of view. Results are therefore presented only as a partial argument and a possible base for further enquiries.

The experimental plots are located on a farm in a mountainous area at an altitude of 845 m above the sea level with the soil type cambisol. After leaving pasture grassland in about 50 years created a forest community with 45.06 per cent share of woody plants. After it has been deforested was doing research on a variant grazing with Charolais cattle and compared with deforested grassland without management leaving the development without human intervention. On the variant without management for three years we recorded 58 plant species with woody plants. Cover of grasses was reduced, for example Agrostis capillaris L. from 15 to 0.78% and Festuca rubra from 5,33 to the tracks, like the presence of herbs, on the contrary increased the percentage of woody plants as Betula pendula from 4.08 to 13.52%, Cerasus avium from 3.07 to 16 28% and Populus tremula from 16.22 to 47.88%. Proportion of woody plants in the third year of research accounted for up to 77.68 per cent stake. Dominant Populus tremula amounted to 2.50 m high and mean diameter 30 mm. Grazing control variant for three years consisted of community - Agrostis Festucetum rubrae with 66 plant species and dominance of other herbs (53.66%). Significantly increased the proportion of grasses, for example Agrostis capillaris from 5.67 to 15.61%, Festuca rubra from 5.02 to 8.42%, Festuca pratensis from 3.84 to 4.40% and Dactylis glomerata from 2.46 to 4.46%. The variant without management significantly increased levels of C : N at depths of 0-200 mm from 10.88-12.65 to 14-16.53, compared with a variant of grazing (from 9.36-12.41 to 6.93-10.46). The evaluation of phosphorus and potassium in two depths, in the C : N ratio, but also in botanical composition from 2006 to 2008, we found statistically highly significant differences in the variant with self-reforestation without management (BM) compared with grazing control variant after deforestation.

Development of cyanobacterial water bloom became a common issue all over the world. Cyanobacteria are the most important primary producers in aquatic ecosystems but in some abundant species their secondary metabolites called cyanotoxins seem to be harmful for many animal groups especially mammals but also fish. In fishes, adverse effects have been demonstrated in several studies applying cyanotoxins by unnatural injection. However, cyanobacteria and fish coevolved during ages and therefore the question arises whether cyanobacteria might be even used for fish via oral application (fish diet). The use of cyanobacteria for fish diets is varying including applications of pure cyanobacteria biomass as well as incorporation of cyanotoxin containing cyanobacteria biomass into commercial fish diet. The impacts of cyanobacteria in fish diets administered via the oral route revealed contradictory findings ranging from moderate negative to growth promoting impacts and it seems that any bioaccumulation of microcystins can become depurated by rearing fish in clean water for a short period. According to the results obtained from various experiments, cyanobacteria as primary producers might be used as a component of fish diets especially concerning partial replacement of fish meal. However, the determination of nutrition value and the bioavailibility of nutrients present in cyanobacteria for different fish species needs to be determined. Furthermore thorough research is needed to exclude any harmful problem for the final consumers - humans.

The paper describes a new approach for determination of mechanical properties of hen's eggshell. The suitability and applicability of a Berkovich indentation is discussed. The eggshells were tested in the area surrounding equator line. The deformation modes active during indentation have been examinined from the shape of load-displacement curves. According to measured dependencies, the eggshel shown an viscous-elastic deformation. The values of Young's modulus E obtained from radial and tangential directions did not vary significantly. This fact shows on isotropic nature of eggshell structure. It was found that values of E do not significantly change neither around the circumference of the equator. The values obtained within this research correspond to values reported in literature and obtained on macroscopic samples. Nanoindentation was found to be a precise and powerful tool, suitable for determining local variations of mechanical properties of eggshells.

Strategický marketingový management podniku - synergický přístup a tvorba hodnoty

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2010, 58(6), 543-552 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun201058060543

The paper aims to introduce a synergic approach to the strategic marketing management, which appears to be a challenge with respect to enhancing competitiveness of industrial companies in a small open economy. The potential of these companies consists in managing relations with the key stakeholders, which by means of effective establishing, maintaining and terminating of the mutual relations leads to developing of marketing networks, enables more effective tradeability of their offers, besides domestic embracing also global markets. The success of these relationships depends on the quantity and quality of mutual exchanges and in particular on the strengthening socially and knowledge-based links. The theoretical principles underlying the synergic approach within the marketing management are closely connected with the present marketing concepts, a new approach to the value creating, effectiveness of marketing activities and will form a basis for research of the industrial companies within the Czech Republic with the orientation to marketing activities effectiveness and performance of the company. The methods used in the paper are secondary analysis of statistics, analysis of scientific and professional literature, reports and researches of authors. The scientific aim of the paper is to review of current situation in this area and to create theoretical basis for the research on the industrial market.

Drcení zpražených zrn kávy Arabica

Šárka Nedomová

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2010, 58(4), 177-182 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun201058040177

Paper deals with experimental research on the crushing of coffee beans of different kinds under quasi-static compression. The process of the crushing is described in details. It has been shown that there is variability in the crushing strength values. A relation between crushing strength and the coffee grain shape is also studied. Roasted Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) beans were used for analyses. Arabica coffees were produced in Colombia and Indonesia. Abbreviation in the square brackets indicates the coffee type and it is used in the text hereinafter. All Arabica samples were submitted to a light roast. The detail analysis of the experimental data shows that there is no significant relation between parameters describing the fracture behaviour of the grains and grain geometry. These parameters are also independent on the grain weight. Compression of the coffee grains leads to their crushing. The fracture force is different for the different kinds of the coffee. The same is fact valid also for the strain at the fracture and for the energy absorbed during the grain crushing. The obtained results suggest that the fracture parameters obtained at the compression loading are dependent only on the coffee brand and on the roasting conditions.
