Tourism is globally considered to be one of the most prospective and dynamic economic branches. However, with respect to highly competitive environment of tourism it has to be professionally organized and managed. The presented article aims to show possibilities of interconnecting marketing tools with the potential of spatial modelling with the objective of making decision-making processes in tourism easier and more efficient (for companies, clients as well as destination managements). The paper deals with the modification of the customer satisfaction measurement model in tourism with possibilities of spatial modelling tools. In the publication the ECSI model (European Customer Satisfaction Index) is modified for the area of tourism, with respect to the fact that the obtained values of ECSI indexes can be utilized as introductory data for spatial modelling. The potential of the ECSI utilization is seen as a tool for managing decision-making processes in the area of increasing the quality of tourism services by force of a detailed analysis and quantification of customer satisfaction. If we process the date about satisfaction from monitoring CzechTourism, and if we apply the use date on described ESCI model (the part satisfaction), we see, that the visitors are the most satisfaction with helpfulness (interval 73-87 %), namely in South-Bohemian, South-Moravian, and Zlin region, at least in Midle-Bohemian region. Obtaining own data and their following application and evaluation according to the modified ESCI model for all tourist regions will be the part of a follow-up research. The aim will be to summarize recommendations for individual regions in such a way that they have enough information for more successful utilization of their potential for the development of tourism.

A phenological study on the onset and duration of particular phenological stages of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) was carried out using sample trees growing in a research area of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, MENDELU Brno for a period of 17 years (1991-2007). The paper describes the onset and duration of particular phenological stages depending on effective temperatures. In spring phenological stages, the high dependence was proved on air temperatures. To evaluate temperature requirements of studied species the cumulative sum of temperatures which activated the beginning of a respective phenological stage was used. It is evident that the onset and the course of particular phenological stages were very variable being subject to the effect of temperature changes, particularly in the spring season. In recent years, the earlier onset is noted of spring phenological stages and the length of their duration shortens. Effects of temperature on the onset and duration of the stage of budbreak and the beginning of foliage became evident in European beech most markedly. 2007 was a very extreme year from the aspect of the early onset of spring vegetative phenological stages. In that year, a marked shift was noted in the onset of particular staged as compared to previous years. To specify phenological observations, records of phenological data of a camera placed in the central part of a crown were used. Results obtained show that some spring phenological stages take only several hours, which corresponds with higher temperatures during spring months in last years. In the area described, higher temperatures were measured even in autumnal months as compared with a long-term average. Owing to high temperatures in the pre-dormancy period, the extension of a growing season occurs and thus also shortening the dormancy playing an irreplaceable role in forest trees. Shortening the dormancy can result in the disturbance of physiological processes and subsequently the decline of trees.

In this work phenological phases of three species - ramson (Allium ursinum L.), hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha L.) and oak tree (Quercus robur L.) were evaluated on two research plots Lednice and Lanžhot during 1961-2007. Both plots represent protected flood-plain forests with no forestry management. The aim of this work is to assess which meteorological parameters influence the most duration of phenophases, to analyse shifts of phenophase timing during the period 1961 to 2007 and to compare phenological and temperature trends in this period. The meteorological and phenological data processed by software AnClim and FenoClim. Results showed that maximum and mean temperature influenced the duration of phenophases most significantly. The higher temperatures caused shortening of phenophases and vice versa. Per 1°C temperature increas the given phenophase its length will decrease by 2.3 days in case of oak tree, by 0.8 days in the case of hawthorn and by 1.3 days in the case of ramson. The onset of phenophases has advanced by 9 to 10 days during the period of 47 years.

On existing conditions on global market (almost identical quality, almost identical purchasing values) companies have to definite the total rating of importance of evaluative criteria. In post-crisis period the problem of suppliers' evaluation is one of the biggest, because companies had to use all resources and all possibilities to develop their own business. Many authors wrote about collaborative planning and warehousing as one of possibilities to optimization work inside supply chain. For this paper define small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) as enterprises with the size of maximum 250 employers.
In literature was read we couldn't find information about own system of suppliers evaluation for small and medium-sized enterprises.
SME can have some different types of business and in this case need the universal system of evaluation. The research of this paper is oriented on small and medium-sized enterprises with different types of business. The new theoretical universal method of calculation for evaluation existing suppliers for small and medium-sized enterprises will present in this paper. This theoretical method is based on average values. This method includes traditional evaluative criteria (quality, delivery time) and other (mobility of supplier, possibilities of new level of partnership). This method of evaluation can not be used for continual manufacture. New method can improve the total evaluation of supplier in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Research of the reproduction activities of Dendrobates auratus Girard, 1855 is part of a broader analysis of the problems encountered when keeping frogs from the family Dendrobatidae in captivity. The aim is to achieve an optimization of measures for successful breeding of these amphibians, for both the amateur hobbyist and conservationist alike. Due to the wide area they have colonized, many colour variations exist; the reproduction parameters of six differently coloured examples of the species were tracked. The collection of data happened in standardized conditions over two consecutive years (2007, 2008) and was aimed at measuring five indicators concerning reproduction, understanding of egg-laying dynamics during a year, measuring the risk of stock loss during different stages of development and determining if any differences existed between the different colour variations in these parameters. A noticable alternating cycle of rest and reproduction activities has been observed between equinoxes. In the harvest there were usually 5-10 eggs with an average incubation period of 10 days (8-18) at a temperature of 22 °C. The total duration of development was on average 74 days (64-103). The number of eggs in a harvest and the duration of incubation were statistically different with the blue form between different observed periods. Total mortality rate during ontogenesis reached 10-53%, the highest losses were in the period when the tadpole left its egg and began developing its hind legs, 5-60%. The optimisation of breeding conditions has been reccommended. Secondary benefits of this study research was the collection of new knowledge about ethology of this species in captivity.

In the world the interconnection of national economies and internationalization of economic processes occur. In turbulent changing business environment only those companies that understand the current trends in global economy may survive, develop and prosper. Therefore, the issue of internationalization for most companies becomes to be more important and the process of internationalization is the way how to stand this increasingly competitive environment. In presented contribution, the attention is paid to issues of internationalization of Slovak food industry enterprises such as their way of business internationalization, percentage share of foreign - trading activities on overall business activity, company evaluation of business internationalization or barriers of foreign markets penetration that researched companies have to deal with. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the engine of the Slovak economy, generator of development, innovation, growth and they employ more than 60% of employees. Almost all businesses operating in agri-food complex have character of small and medium enterprises. The results of carried research have shown that small and medium-sized companies are considered to be successful in operation on foreign markets in surrounding European countries.

It contains the quantification of not only the absolute collection of transfer tax but it also presents the basic statistical indicators, e.g. the pace of growth and the pace of absolute increase. Subsequently, it identifies the share of transfer tax on the complete tax income as regards the specified time line and the effectiveness of the collection of transfer tax in connection with the direct administrative costs as regards the outcomes of two research studies conducted in the Czech Republic. In the end, there are presented the research studies conducted abroad that were focused on administrative costs of taxation and on the demands of the tax systems in the OECD member states.

Výzkum kritérií hodnocení podnikatelských projektů ze strany společností investujících Private Equity a Venture kapitál v ČR

Marek Zinecker, Jaroslava Rajchlová

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2010, 58(6), 641-652 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun201058060641

For investment decision making to be rational, the existence of investment criteria is required. In the theory of financial management, the effectiveness of investment is traditionally judged by the degree to which an investment proposal contributes to achieving the main financial goal of business, i.e. market value maximization of the firm.
So far, potential businesses for Private Equity and Venture Capital financing in the Czech Republic have not had information regarding investment criteria and their significance, when considered by investors, at their disposal, which is due to absence of relevant research results.
This article presents results of the research project whose aim is to establish which criteria are considered to perform an essential role in the selection of business proposals by firms investing Private Equity and Venture Capital in the Czech Republic as well as the most common reasons for rejecting the proposals. Based on practical experience of financing by Private Equity and Venture Capital, the research made it possible to identify the most significant criteria, namely characterization of management, market, product and the rate of investment capital appreciation. The results of the research are consequently compared with findings which were published in similar studies undertaken in the past (e.g. Tyebjee, Bruno, 1984; Fried, Hisrich, 1994; MacMillan et al., 1985, 1987; Muzyka et al., 1996; Eisele, 2002).
The research supports the thesis that, when considering business proposals, above-average weight is attached to criteria concerning the characterization of management, i.e. experience and competencies in all stages of business life cycle. Nevertheless, the fulfilment of the criteria is not sufficient for investors to evaluate a business proposal positively. They also place an emphasis on selected criteria related to market and product. By publishing empirical data, an important signal regarding up-to-date evaluative criteria and their weight is sent to those interested in financing by means of Private Equity/Venture Capital as well as investors in Private Equity and Venture Capital funds and to investment companies.

VLIV VODOHOSPODÁŘSKÝCH ÚPRAV V DOLNÍM PODYJÍ NA VODNÍ BIOCENÓZY

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2010, 58(4), 269-276 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun201058040269

This work contains the results of influence of water management in lowland region of the Dyje River on water biocenoses. Research was carried out in 1977-1984, when building of the three reservoirs were started. The effect of the newly built reservoirs on the biocoenoses of the reach immediately below it was mainly beneficial. Before the reservoir near Nové Mlýny was bulit, the fish population of the Dyje River was regularly threatened by poor water quality. After completion of the three reservoirs in 1989 the pollution brought by the Dyje River was largely removed by the purification processes in the reservoirs, so that the Dyje River became cleaner than it was. The better trophic conditions and water quality downstream of the reservoirs were reflected in increased fish catches and higher fish weights. The newly built fish passes make possible migration of rare fish species from the Danube River as far as to reservoirs the Nové Mlýny.

Konečně-prvkový model bambusového článku (Phyllostachys sp.) a jeho srovnání s experimentem na dvou mechanických zkouškách

Acta Univ. Agric. Silvic. Mendelianae Brun. 2010, 58(1), 153-160 | DOI: 10.11118/actaun201058010153

The main goal of the work was to build up a general parametric finite-element model of a bamboo culm in ANSYS computational system. Subsequently the model was compared to a experimental measurements of chosen mechanical properties - three point bending test and brasil test. A parameter being compared was a force, which is necessary to exert to deform a sample on given strain. In this work two parametric models were created. First one is including dividing barrier - diaphragm. A mesh of the culm wall is mapped and is divided into three layers with different orthotropic material models in cylindrical coordinate system with respect to the culm axis. By contrast the barrier - diaphragm - is represented by free mesh with isotropic material model. Both FE models are fully parametric and three-dimensional. Hence they are very well utilizable for both further research of the bamboo itself and constructions from it.
