AB  - The aim of the following piece is to identify sources of the fluctuations in household consumption in components of consumption expenditure, which affect the overall household consumtion the most. In relation to my described aim, I will carry out an analysis of the business cycle, modelled on the values of final consumtion during 1999-2009. Next to the cycle analysis, using the Hodrick-Prescott filter, de-trending will be carried out and the growth cyclus obtained will be further dated.Continuing, an analysis of household expenditure and consumption in Czech republic will be carried out analogically in comparable periods of time. The next step will include an assesment of the mutual relation of the businnes cycle modelled on the final consumption expenditure and the fluctuation of household consumption in the Czech republic around their long-term trend, with use of a correlation analysis. Adjudication will be carried out for the considered period as well as for cycle divisions identified on the basis of turning points. The next step will include a calculation of the weights of individual components on overall household consumption. Based on these weights, individual components with the greatest values will be selected. These selected components will be analyzed according to fluctuations and significant factors that may have caused such fluctuations will be identified.
