The parameter of inflation pressure is significant part of passive loss and its size can influence the need for engine power in units of kilowatts. This implies increase in fuel consumption up to several liters per hour. According to demands of methodology field and laboratory measurements have been done. It was used flat section of a road for field testing. Realization of the road test is based on pulling of tested tractor or tractor's set where the needed force is monitored. In this case overall passive resistance of both axles is done. The separation of forces applied in tire and its impact on inner or outer effect is described. The road test was based on the assumption that unlike the driven wheel the driving wheel did not affect inner component of resistance. The change in inflation pressure of driving tire has an impact on magnitude of hysteresis loss. Laboratory measurement was realized on chassis dynamometer which drives enable rolling resistance measuring in the range of 1 kph to 16 kph. Testing was focused on differences in overall size of passive losses when inflation pressure of front axle of a tractor was changed. The comparison of tire inflation of a semi-trailer has been done. Experimental work brought the results of coefficient of rolling resistance or its change as the physical description of tire deformation.
