Keiferia educata sp. n. and Keiferia powelli sp. n. are described from California. The first taxon is obviously endemic to one of the most interesting Channel Islands called Santa Barbara and it corroborates its unique history. The two newly described species of Keiferia enrich essentially the number of species existing in California and in the Nearctic realm generally. Moths and their genitalia are figured within the description.
